These stories are inspirational. Even though the character is fictional, the lesson is real.
The first Rocky movie shows us the hopes, dreams, and courage of a young man who didn’t have a lot of prospects. He wrestles with his self-doubt to become the champion. It doesn’t matter who we are, or what our position in life is. We can be more than we are.
The other movies help to re-enforce the idea, that if you want something, you often have to keep fighting for it — even after you have achieved it. The secret isn’t about how well you fight, it is more about how many times you can get knocked down in life, and still get up and give it your best shot.
Sometimes, relationships and life works the same. It is all about how well you can take a hit, and keep going.
