Biological Clock Is Winding Down

There are reports of some females who get a little erratic, when they realize their biological clock is winding down, and they realize they aren’t going to have children to satisfy this maternal instinct. Regardless of whether they can have a baby, they want to be a mother. This can cause them to re-evaluate some of their life choices and consider their options.
After a little soul-searching; remember I said a little — thoughts typically turn towards their partner. Sure, he was a lot of fun for the first ten years, but is he made of the right stuff to help foster and nurture a family? This often leads to the male counter-part being literally kicked to the curb. However, options from the remaining gene pool can be severely limited later in life. The “best of the rest” (and there is a reason why some males are still single) can often represent a pretty bleak opportunity for finding a suitable mate.

Naturally, this can add to the anxiety of the “mother-to-be”, when she discovers that at this stage in her life, it may be quite impossible to find a suitable lifetime partner. Maybe she doesn’t need one…
She can picture a lifetime of trying to raise children fostered by a “bad cat” and it isn’t a pretty picture. She can see herself being alone most of the time while he is out chasing some younger pussy — left to her own devices and having to raise, discipline and provide for a family. Some tail-chasing old tomcat that would rather spend his wages on booze and cigarettes then offer to help support a family, isn’t really any help at all. Children need a responsible father figure in their lives, or else they can just go to the dogs.

Perhaps another option might be adoption? There are certainly a lot of unwanted children who are born in this world. In the last few years, a popular trend has been to adopt children from other cultures where the adoption process is more relaxed. As a single parent too, she realizes that her ability to provide for a family isn’t in any way limited. It is possible that she can provide for, as good or better, than any male could. This can really brighten one’s outlook, although one should be careful of what they wish for.

There isn’t any doubt about it. Parenthood brings its’ own rewards. Nothing is as satisfying as the love returned by your children. It can enrich ones’ life so immeasurably, that it is hard to recall the satisfaction one felt being single, without children. Aging, with children, can be a wonderful experience, full of fond memories you create that will last a lifetime.
It has been said, though, that children raised without two parents can be quite taxing both physically and mentally. Extra care needs to be taken so that children raised in this type of environment don’t become little stinkers.
It is also quite possible that these children will be looked at a little oddly, especially when they start jumping on the sofa. Suffice to say, it will be a challenge.
